Job Title: Senior Java Backend Developer Client: Cognizant/American Express Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid Onsite) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: Associates will be working in a scrum team, should have knowledge & experience of agile/scrum/safe culture, associate would need to deal with clients therefore, good communication is essential. Should have good knowledge on CI/CD pipeline, should be able to help & guide other team members. Experience: 7 to 10 yrs. Top 5 Must Haves: 1. Java 2. Spring Boot 3. J2EECore 4. Microservices 5. APIs Required Skills: Deep technical hands-on experience in Java 1.8 Deep technical hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot framework Development experience with Unit testing, Mocking frameworks like Junit, EasyMock, Mockito Proficient with Service discovery (Eureka, Consul etc) and ability to design and implement microservices Experience with development of distributed Microservices Demonstrate skill sets in designing the API using Swagger Hands-on Experience in GIT via command prompt and IDE Familiar with Continuous Integration and Continous Deployment using tools like Jenkins Experience with build tools like Maven / Gradle Deep understanding on the Sonar violations and propose solutions to fix Should demonstrate a deep experience participating in standups/daily scrums, planning meetings, iteration retrospectives etc. Nice to have skills: Experience in Vetx Familiar with NOSQL DB Roles & Responsibilities: Selected candidates will be responsible for developing full application & be able to test & deploy the code.
