Job Title: Security Engineer Location: Downey, CA, 90242 (Remote) Duration: 12 Months Client: LA County ISD CGOB Job Description: A Security Engineer serves as the security engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment; is comfortable with bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision; works to ensure developers create the most secure systems while enhancing the privacy of all system users; and has experience with white-hat hacking and fundamental computer science concepts. The Security Engineer will perform security audits, risk analysis, application-level vulnerability testing, and security code reviews; develop and implement technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities; and conduct research to identify new attack vectors. Required Skills Security Engineers will possess knowledge and experience in safeguarding sensitive data from cyber-attacks. This classification must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with developing and implementing technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities. Preferred Skills Knowledge of security protocols - SSL, IPSE, ACL, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, POP3 and security policies. Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years performing hands on Cisco SecureX administration Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing hands on Cisco AMP administration and Crowdstrike. Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing endpoint security malware events analysis and remediation. Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing all the following: a. TCP/IP networking and firewalls. c. Network security support. d. VPN connectivity. e. System administration. f. Windows and Linux operating systems g. Experience creating and maintaining EDR policies and rule, standard operating procedures and technical documents Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing all the following: a. Malware endpoint protection platform in an organization with over 5000 users. b. Planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, and operating malware and OS vulnerability security solutions. c. Cloud Security malware protection. d. Patch and configuration management Three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing all the following: a. Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems. b. Endpoint Security and Advance Threat Protection. c. Familiarity with VMWare d. Understanding of security protocols - SSL, IPSE, ACL, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, POP3 and security policies. e. Experience of malware of diagnosing and remediation Two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years in monitoring malware security events in complex network environment.
