As a Lead iOS developer, youll collaborate with internal teams and 3rd party partners to develop customer-facing mobile applications, while working in a fast-paced environment. You may eventually be responsible for overseeing a team of iOS developers. This role will be primarily hands on development, but may also include strategy, mentoring and training. This role will be responsible for the daily maintenance and delivery of mobile applications, including meal planning and eCommerce apps. 3+ years developing iOS Apps (focus on Swift, but knowledge in Objective-C, xCode) Prior iOS Developer Lead experience a plus Prior experience with project planning with large size or highly complex projects. A solid understanding of mobile application development processes, from the layout/user interface to backend systems and API integrations. A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology. Key Responsibilities Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large and/or architecturally significant applications. Champion company standards and best practices. Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices. Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Work with Product team to plan new features, gather requirements and propose solutions. Acquire and interpret business requirements, creates a functional specification, and determines the most efficient/appropriate technologies. Research and implement new interface development techniques. Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support) Ability to work with new technologies while showing drive, adaptability, and creative thinking. Establish development best practices and growth of mobile applications standards. Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the box thinking. Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies Assist other folks on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates Note to Vendors What will the resource be working on This front-end iOS developer role supports the ongoing enhancement of Clients app building components managed by our Content Management System (named AMP). This role will participate in the discovery and implementation of new CMS powered assets and components that drive Clients app home screen, brand & department screens, and various in-app dynamic experiences. Clients digital experience and marketing teams leverage AMP and the native component library to build experience that help drive Clients digital ecommerce goals. The app building components are key to Clients merchandizing strategy supporting online sales and promotion cycles. Content author can put in reusable components (what is being developed) that are supported and screen can be rendered natively and dynamically without need for dev, code review Adherence to horizontal, CI/CD, architecture standards, ADRs, security/privacy, cross/non-functional concerns Telemetry relay system, look for analytics and do logging locally Stewardship of platform integrity, ensure backward compatibility Design patterns and architectural restraints: building software that other developers would use. Fundamentally different from standard application development: Native Development but building a dynamic, headless CMS natively. 3+ Main Skillsets: Strong experience using Swift & SwiftUI, Swift Package Manager, and building customer facing apps Strong analytical problem-solving skills Experience with CI/CD & unit testing A solid understanding of best practices and techniques regarding scalability, performance, and security Keywords: cprogramm continuous integration continuous deployment |
