Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, development and deployment of MDG systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across various business units at Corning, as the company undergoes an ERP transformation and utilizes a global template. You will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive master data governance solutions that cater to various business processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance throughout the organization during the ongoing ERP transformation and the use of the global template. This position requires experience with multiple global MDG implementations for successfully navigating the complexities of data governance at a global level. Key Responsibilities: Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design end-to-end MDG solutions that align with Cornings data governance strategy and objectives, taking into account the ongoing ERP transformation and global template implementation. Requirements Gathering: Analyze business requirements and data governance needs to identify gaps and develop functional specifications for MDG system enhancements and configurations, ensuring alignment with the global template. Conduct Blueprint, Fit-Gap and Design workshops for various MDG master data domains. Able to translate business requirements into design documents and functional specifications. Work closely with MDG factory technical lead and developer and communicate business requirements and functional specifications effectively to them. Prepare functional specifications, configuration, testing and training documentation. Strong experience working with Master data on S/4 and ECC side related Material, BoM, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner and Finance master. Knowledge of S/4 HANA functional configuration related to Master data- Material, BoM, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner and Finance master. Solid understanding of SAP MDG Master data objects including Material, Business Partner, Customer, Vendor and Finance master data model. Data Modeling: Define data models and data elements necessary for MDG processes, ensuring alignment with data standards and best practices set by the global template. Process Modeling: Design and model complex BRF (Business Rules Framework) workflows for master data governance, ensuring efficient and streamlined data approval processes that align with the global templates guidelines. UI Modeling: Design user-friendly and intuitive user interfaces for the MDG system, enhancing user experience and data entry efficiency while adhering to the global templates user interface standards. DRF (Data Replication Framework): Implement and configure DRF for data replication between MDG and other SAP systems, ensuring data consistency across the Corning landscape and compatibility with the global template. MDG integration experience with SAP and Non-SAP systems. Mass Consolidation: Utilize MDG mass consolidation techniques to merge and cleanse duplicate master data records in line with the global templates data consolidation strategy. Mass Processing: Configure mass processing capabilities in the MDG system to perform bulk data updates and changes according to the global templates data processing guidelines. Design and development experience on customizing MDG master data applications as per business requirements. Design workflow approval process in MDG to support multiple business divisions. Experience in conducting session with legacy systems to finalize the field mapping requirements between MDG and Legacy systems. Well versed with security concept in SAP. Responsible for MDG application security design and work closely with SAP security team to support development and implementation of MDG user access requirements. Possess a strong understanding of SAP S4 Hana and its integration with MDG, ensuring seamless data management during the ERP transformation and global template utilization at Corning. OTC (Order-to-Cash), PTP (Procure-to-Pay), RTR (Record-to-Report), and RTP (Requisition-to-Pay) Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the end-to-end processes of these functional areas to ensure MDG aligns with Cornings business requirements, data governance needs, and global templates process standards. Data Governance Framework: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures at Corning, considering the requirements of the global template and the ERP transformation. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, data stewards, and other stakeholders at Corning on MDG functionalities, ABAP debugging techniques, BRF workflows, and best practices aligned with the global template. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the MDG systems performance at Corning to ensure efficient data management and processing during the ERP transformation and global template utilization. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of MDG solution architecture, design decisions, configurations and process models specific to Cornings requirements and the global template. Experience with Data migration activities and tools. Experience in planning and executing cut-over activities. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot MDG issues and recommend solutions. Knowledge of master data best practices and industry standards Good Understanding of S4/HANA Architecture. Collaborate with software vendors and other third-party service providers to evaluate, select, and implement MDG-related technologies and tools in line with the global templates guidelines. Data Security: Ensure data security and confidentiality measures are in place to safeguard sensitive master data at Corning during the ERP transformation and global template implementation. Requirements: Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Total 10+ years of IT experience with deep expertise in SAP master data processes and SAP application design is required At least 3 large scale end to end SAP MDG global implementation experience on multiple master data domains- material, business partner, supplier, customer and Finance master Strong ABAP debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MDG custom developments and integrations. Proven experience as an MDG Solution Architect or similar role, with a strong background in data governance and master data management. Extensive experience with multiple global MDG implementations, demonstrating expertise in handling complex data governance projects on an international scale. In-depth knowledge of SAP MDG or other MDG systems, data modeling, BRF workflows design, process modeling, UI modeling, DRF, mass consolidation, mass processing, and integration with SAP S4 Hana. Familiarity with data quality management tools and practices. Experience with OTC, PTP, RTR, and RTP processes to align MDG with functional requirements at Corning and the global template. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at Corning. Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
