Current industry certification in networking, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), among others. Per the STC, a minimum of three (3) years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning, and implementation. Skills and Competences: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals including, but not limited to, the following: executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Excellent technical writing skills, including the ability to write complex reports, plans, and briefings. Strong organizational skills Understand how to maintain the confidentiality of records in accordance with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, and Department policy. Have a deep understanding of networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks. Selected Candidates will be required to pass a network knowledge exam prior to meeting with the contract manager. Be well-versed in implementing and managing security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and virtual private networks (VPNs). Being adaptable to utilizing network monitoring tools and analyzing network performance metrics to identify and address issues proactively. Have the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals, understand client requirements, and provide timely updates and reports. Keywords: information technology |
