Required 3 yrs. of Lead/ P&C Insurance background, will be first to interview Role : Sr. Java Technical Lead Location : Hartford, CT / Danbury, CT or Charlotte, NC (2-3 days onsite) Duration : 6 months contract Interview : Video Interview Job Responsibilities: Organize and lead multi-functional teams during customer service disruptions, configuration management, new feature deployment and new product implementations Be responsible to design, code , code review and deploy the code. Be responsible for, and master multiple subject matter areas of responsibilities. Identify and document best practices within their subject matter areas of expertise. Provide continuous process improvement suggestions. Maintain and document Standard Operating Procedures. Skills: 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in application software solution development Strong hands-on experience with Java and J2EE technologies, such as jQuery, Java script, Java Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot and Microservice architecture. Ability with Oracle and SQL Server relational database technologies. Experience with Web Services (SOAP and Rest). Proficiency in writing and using APIs. Experience with containerization and experience in cloud infrastructure environments like Open Shift and Terraform. Familiarity with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, preferred tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Rally, and SonarQube. Experience working in an Agile development environment is helpful. Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
