Role:Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer Duration: 12 Months Location: FULLY REMOT MOI: SKYP The ideal candidatewill have 10 years of COBOL and 7-9 Years of experience in DB2, CICS, TSO, JCL,and CA DEBUGGER. **Pleasesend resume with the attached Skills Matrix completed. Tasks: Within thecontext of the project approach described above, Contractor shall develop anddeliver updates to one or more ODHS-designated Legacy applications within thescope of the Project. This includes software code changes and documentation. Contractor shallparticipate in daily and weekly sprint planning and review meetings withAuthorized Purchasers Solution Development and Delivery (SDD) mainframe teamand provide feedback and advice on the overall project schedule, includingidentifying and recommending specific segments of work to be completed for theenhancement of designated Legacy application(s). Contractor shallcomplete and document enhancements to designated legacy application(s) in theappropriate Deliverables (technical specifications, test plans, and testscripts) and Authorized Purchasers defect tracking system (Azure DevOps(ADOS)). Contractor shall draft and deliver Technical Specifications documentsthat meet the technical requirements. Contractor shall participate in daily andweekly planning and review meetings. Contractor shall writeand review the test plans and test scripts and make necessary changes asneeded. Contractor shall perform unit testing to ensure requirements are metand changed code works as specified. Contractor shall followthe existing requirements management, design, development and issue trackingprocess and development standards including the naming conventions whileworking on the code changes. The existingprocess uses ADOS and similar tools for tracking the issues and Agile Scrumapproach for development work. Contractor shallcomplete program code changes identified in the Sprint Planning meetings anddocumented in the accepted Technical Specifications Contractor prepared underTask 2. Contractor must follow standard version control, configurationmanagement principles, and SDD standards while making code changes. Contractorshall provide interim documentation of code modifications as part of therelevant Monthly Sprint Report Package. Contractor shalldocument, in the ADOS tracking system, any issues identified in testing andtheir resolution taken to resolve the issues. The contractor shall conduct endto end system testing as well as end to end system integration testing. Thissystem integration testing will include testing the code changes within theapplication as well as system interface testing between the Legacy applicationsand the OR PTC DCI. Required skills and experience: COBOL (Expert level skill, 10 years of experience required) DB2 (Advanced level skill, 7-9 years of experience required) CICS (Advanced level skill, 7-9 years of experience required) TSO (Advanced level skill, 7-9 years of experience required) JCL (Advanced level skill, 7-9 years of experience required) CA Debugger (Advanced level skill, 7-9 years of experience required) Strong independent work capabilities required Ability to communicate clearly, with the ability to engage in multiple discussions with system and business experts regarding the work Desired Skills and Experience: Demonstrated knowledge of relevant functional business areas of Oregon Self-Sufficiency Program (SSP) and Oregon Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) programs and processes, or similar knowledge from other states. Previous experience in state or local Oregon government agencies or for Human Services organizations in other states. Demonstrated experience with large-scale complex technical architectures that include interfaces with other large-scale systems. Demonstrated knowledge with logging of communication between large-scale systems. Demonstrated knowledge in the handshake between interfacing systems to ensure proper reception and synchronization of records; this should specifically include experience developing and testing web services across multiple platforms. Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision and direction. Demonstrated experience developing analysis and design documentation necessary for the construction, testing and implementation of identified tasks to be completed.
