Role: Technical Solutions Engineer Work location : DENVER (US:80201), CO Hybrid Position Overview: Our client is an Energy-as-a-Service provider that funds and installs energy-saving and energy-generating equipment. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the Technical Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our energy efficiency technology solutions by managing design engineering partners and preconstruction partners to ensure on-time delivery of proposals. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality control of third-party partner project development deliverables and inputs, while also actively participating in fieldwork for critical pilots, innovation, and research and development to maintain subject matter expertise (SME). Responsibilities: Design and implement Standards: Create best practices and guidelines for project development across client's efficiency technology solutions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and ensure excellence in project execution. Manage Design Engineering and Preconstruction Partners: Collaborate with design engineering and preconstruction partners to define project scope, objectives, pricing, and timelines for client's energy efficiency projects. Oversee their work progress, providing guidance and support to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and in alignment with quality standards. Quality Control of Third-Party Partner Deliverables: Conduct rigorous quality checks of project development deliverables provided by third-party partners. Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client's established standards. Field Work and SME Maintenance: Engage in fieldwork for critical pilots, innovation initiatives, and research and development activities related to energy efficiency projects. Continuously expand and update subject matter expertise to remain at the forefront of advancements in the energy efficiency industry. Value Engineering of Proposals: Collaborate with the project development team to apply value engineering principles, optimizing project costs while maintaining high-quality standards in proposals. In-House Energy Engineering SME: Act as a subject matter expert for Energy Engineering within the team, providing technical expertise and insights on energy efficiency technology solutions. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in project management or quality assurance, preferably in the energy efficiency, technology, or construction industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage internal team members and external partners effectively. Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and a focus on quality assurance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Willingness to travel to project sites and participate in fieldwork as required. In-depth knowledge of savings calculations for mechanical systems, including central plant, HVAC, and electrical generation.
