Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing) with technical and Department staff. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Adabas and Software AG products in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance and administration in a multiple platform environment. Experience supporting development, testing and troubleshooting activities of Natural / ADABAS developers. Experience managing and maintaining all production and non-production databases. Experience having the responsibility for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration. Experience performing backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configuring database parameters, and prototyping designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. Experience optimizing database access and allocating/re-allocating database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
