Position: Sr Software Engineer, Windows Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Contract Visa: open Job Description Job description: About the job we is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer focused on the Windows operating system to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll be building key native operating systems components for a platform used by IT admins and security analysts to solve the most disruptive and time consuming responsibility they have: vulnerability & patch management. Youll participate in detailed technical design and development of native applications, ensuring high performance and maximum code efficiencies. The Engineering team is a collaborative group of passionate and intelligent people with diverse personal and professional backgrounds who combine their experience with industry research, data insights, customer feedback, and peer review into a user-success obsessed design process. the work youll do Design, build, and/or deliver features for our native systems applications Build efficient processes using C/C++ Integrate with existing back end systems Maintain a well-organized codebase Write code that works across current versions of Windows, MacOS, and Linux Think through edge cases and unexpected user interactions to develop a robust UX Structure application code to optimize for both CPU and memory performance Collaborate with other teams to implement requirements for new features what were looking for Expertise using C or C++ for substantial projects Experience working with Windows COM and C++/WinRT APIs Operational experience with Windows including working with group policies and endpoint management Experience working with both REST and websocket APIs Ability to independently navigate a large codebase to find logic and debug problems Ability to collaborate with remote employees (developers and designers) Understand functional programming concepts like immutability, opaque types, iterators, the Elm Architecture, pure functions, etc. Familiarity with system init daemons (i.e. systemd, launchd).
