Job Description - Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer Job Location : Las Vegas, NV (On-Site) Duration:- 12 months Visa: USC, GC, GC EAD, H4 EAD I want senior level engineers. No less than 10 years of Cloud experience. I would prefer 12 to 15. I NEED STRONG TERRAFORM, EKS, LAMBDA experience. Resumes need to speak to this experience. This is not DevOps so avoid sending DevOps Cloud Profiles. Only need Cloud Infrastructure profiles . DevOps Profile will be rejected without consideration. Also, Candidates with long tenure on the previous worked projects is really necessary. Candidates must have at least above 24 months of experience on each project. If it is close to 36 months its even better. We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer who specializes in cloud infrastructure management and has a strong focus on migrating from CloudFormation to Terraform, as well as expertise in EKS and Kubernetes troubleshooting. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our cloud infrastructure team, responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and reliable AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Migration: You will lead the migration effort from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform. This involves understanding the fundamental differences between the two, and ensuring a smooth transition. Terraform Mastery: Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create, modify, and remove cloud resources efficiently. Experience with Terraform modules and best practices is a must. Environment Management: Employ Terraform for environment lifecycle management, including the ability to remove environments and resources from the cloud as needed. Secret Key Management: Demonstrate expertise in securely managing sensitive data by implementing best practices for passing secret keys and credentials within Terraform code. Multi-Region Deployment: Deploy and manage resources across multiple AWS regions and accounts using Terraform, optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Compute Resources: Possess a deep understanding of various AWS compute resources such as EC2 instances and AWS Lambda, and the ability to architect and deploy solutions using these services as required. Kubernetes and EKS: Showcase extensive experience in managing Kubernetes clusters, particularly with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), including troubleshooting and optimizing cluster performance. Advanced Monitoring: Implement advanced monitoring and alerting solutions beyond basic metrics like CPU, memory, and storage. Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch Logs Insights is advantageous. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in migrating from AWS CloudFormation to Terraform. Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Expertise in managing multi-region AWS deployments and environments. In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, particularly with EKS, and experience troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters. Proficiency in various compute resources offered by AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda).
