System Administrator Location: Sunnyvale, CA Duration: 12 months Operations and SRE teams manage key technical infrastructure for one of the most secure environments in Apple. The candidate will work with these teams to ensure robust and reliable operations. o Experience with Linux (any distro, but especially RHEL). Standard UNIX utilities and programs o Experience with parsing and analyzing logs o understanding of the operating system networking stack, TCP, ICMP and UDP, ACLs. IPv6 is a plus o Conceptual understanding of multi-tiered and web-based information systems architecture o basic troubleshooting skills o Good communications and documentation skills o Experience with monitoring tools such as icinga/nagios and log aggregation tools such as splunk o Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python o Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) o Experience around Security and Compliance is a plus o Participate in troubleshooting issues following established procedures, documenting problems, managing incidents (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc) o perform test deployments in NONPROD environments o triage issues and incidents and route them to an appropriate team member o act as second person (observer) in procedures requiring two-person control o review network ACL configurations and point out deficiencies using established procedures o monitor AWS resources usage using read-only tools and established procedures, report findings o work with other teams in Apple on scheduling and preparing key rotation procedures o review and validate BYOK onboarding documents completed by other teams and report findings o review team documentation and point out obsolete parts and areas in need of improvement o monitor backup jobs using logs and splunk queries o maintain equipment lists and elevation diagrams Keywords: California http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=669584&uid= |
