Position: Linux Systems Administrator, USC or GC only Location: Remote, but must be within Pacific Time Zone Duration: 6+ Month MOI: Phone and Video LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR Linux Systems Administrator to work for us to support Orange County, CA Superior Court client. This is expected to be a six-month assignment. It is remote only, but you must reside in the Pacific Time Zone. You will support the Court Technology Services (CTS) department in implementing and maintaining the Courts network infrastructure, core business and departmental applications, as well as ensuring the security of the courts data and processes. The Servers, Storage & Database unit provides core Infrastructure services to support Court IT operations and is seeking qualified candidates with a deep understanding of Linux, WebLogic, Tomcat, Azure, Virtualization, Storage, Security, and Networking stack. The individuals selected for these positions will perform advanced level of system administration tasks across Linux Server OS (Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS), WebLogic, Tomcat, Java, Azure, Oracle Cloud, VMware, NetApp, Veeam, and Zerto stack. QUALIFICATIONS At least six (6) years of experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and supporting various Linux Operating Systems: MUST HAVE = Oracle Linux (8.x/7.x), RHEL (8.x/7.x), DESIRABLE = CentOS, Ubuntu. At least four (4) years of experience administering (installation, configuration, planning, upgrading, patching, problem resolution, and debugging) across the enterprise web and middleware application server stack: MUST HAVE = Oracle WebLogic (12cR2, 14c), Tomcat (8.x/9.x), DESIRABLE = Apache, Java. MUST HAVE = Experience in deploying optimized virtual hybrid environments for enterprise application and database stack Oracle, WebLogic, Tomcat. MUST HAVE = Experience with automation of system administration related maintenance tasks using Bash/Perl/Python. DESIRABLE = At least four (4) years of experience working with VMware stack 6.5 and above. DESIRABLE = At least two (2) years of experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Storage, and Security stack. DESIRABLE = Experience working with DevOps/Automation technologies: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet will be a plus. DESIRABLE = Experience working with technologies Open LDAP, Nexus OSS, SonarQube. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work independently, multitask, prioritize workload with respect to importance and deadlines, communicate clearly and manage stakeholders. Provide technical support and work closely with other technical teams Application, Database, Telecom, and Operations. Ability to create and maintain technical documentation in assigned areas of responsibility.
