Kent, Washington, 98032 Onsite JOB DESCRIPTION: This person will be on the Kelley Connect engineering team working on scoping and designing solutions to sell as projects and then completing the implementation. They aren't doing any 'tickets' / maintenance. All of their projects are net-new networks or replacements. Day-to-day would include evaluating different networks, brainstorming design improvements, document workplan in an SOW and drawings, implement (a junior engineer with rack and stack / complete the physical networking), and then support the project throughout go-live and ideally move on to the next project. Won't be creating quotes or POs but will need to write up Statement of Work (SOW) documents with executive summaries, workplans, and their design drawings. The ideal candidate is someone who's been Engineering Networks for 5+ years having gotten deep into trouble shooting and repairs and is now beginning to build and design. Looking for someone who has opinions on how things should be structure. Must have: 8+ years experience in an IT support or consulting role 5+ years experience with Network Engineering. Experience with LAN and WAN configuration, setup, and troubleshooting Experience with Microsoft Active Directory Advanced experience / knowledge of Cisco (this person would be the highest level Networking person in the organization and will be utilized at their largest clients; most of them are Cisco centered. Experienced with Windows OS (8,10,11) & Windows Server (2012R2,2016,2019, etc.) Experience working with AVD Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications and 365 platform QUESTIONS THAT NEED TO BE ANSWERED BY CANDIDATE: YES How many switches have you unboxed and configured from scratch Did you use any templates for those In your most recent Networking roles, how many users or devices did you manage What role have you played in Network designing and scoping What type of end-user have you supported (ex. internal team, customers / clients, 3rd parties) NICE TO HAVE: HPE Procurve, ArubaOS, Meraki and switch stacking techniques One or more of the following industry certifications are preferred - CCNP/CCDE, Network+, Microsoft Certified roles related to Windows Server, Azure, infrastructure administration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Network design, configuration and installation of devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, ACL, VLAN) Perform systems implementation and administer infrastructure on premises and in the cloud; systems include Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 global administration Troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets, including those associated with project design, scoping, and completion tasks Perform in-depth analysis of system performance and planning then summarize the results for varying audiences, outside technical partners, and senior-level management. Provide mentoring, guidance, and education to junior staff.
