POSITION DevOps Architect Austin TX Long Term Contract Seeing an experienced hands-on DevOps Engineer to help setup new and manage existing systems within the Device Management space for Retail IS&T. Role will cover setting up infrastructure in AWS using Kubernetes and Docker containers, working with 3rd party applications and internally developed applications. Configuration of network access rules with subnet and security groups in AWS is required. Individual should have experience working on enterprise / large-scale business critical applications. Should be able to work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Role requires someone who is detail oriented, has excellent documentation and oral communication skills. Experienced Linux user: Proficient with Docker containerization Know how to work with microservices architecture and container orchestration with Kubernetes Experience working with web servers (Tomcat and Nginx) Know how to use git version control from the command line Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana) Know how to build systems where observability is a first class concern using methods and tools for log aggregation, analytics, monitoring, distributed systems tracing and alerting Experience and proven experience documenting procedures so others can follow Extras: Production experience with developing web services based on REST standards Sound knowledge and experience of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) Expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar.
