Need profiles for the below Position: 1 Role Mainframe Datacom Admin Location Remote Key Areas of Focus for this Role: o Best practices of software management, maintenance and documentation o Configure and manage CA Datacom, CA Datacom CICS Services, CA Datacom Server, CA Ideal and related products such as CA Dataquery, VSAM Transparency and CA IPC o Develop strategies, processes and best practices in CA Datacom systems programming o Establishing policies and procedures pertaining to database management, disaster recovery, product and database security, maintenance, and utilization o Reviewing new versions of CA Datacom and related products for functionality, advising how they benefit the client o Interacting with vendors for problems and questions o Disaster recovery of system and application databases o Troubleshooting and solving production database issues o Identification and resolution of performance issues o Database administration including administering and customizing CA Datacom, CA Dataquery, CA Datacom CICS Services, CA Ideal and CA IPC o Database design and experience with batch and online CA Datadictionary o Database monitoring including space monitoring and performance monitoring using CA Sysview o Coding and usage of CA Datacom and related products utilities o Support planned (disaster recovery) and unplanned (emergency) database recovery activities Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of professional experience in CA Datacom and related products for administration and systems programming support. Experience in a large, 247 environment and the ability to manage competing priorities Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and effectively to support requests from multiple clients After hours on-call support Ability to write, debug and tune SQL Previous experience in a CA Datacom environment required Need profiles for the below Position: 2 Role Mainframe ADABAS Admin Location Remote Job Overview: Key Areas of Focus for this Role: Manage, install and configure adoptable database systems (ADABAS) and related products. Monitor automation messages for database exception conditions. Analyze application and database performance problems. Responsible for the creation, scheduling, and support of database backup and maintenance processes. Develop strategies, processes and best practices in ADABAS systems programming. Establishing policies and procedures pertaining to database management, disaster recovery, product and database security, maintenance, and utilization Perform verification for database maintenance upgrades. Provide support and assistance for the database engineering groups for Weekend work. Implement changes to database subsystem variables. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of professional experience in ADABAS and related products for administration and systems programming support.
