Kent, Washington, 98032 INTERVIEW MODE: Video Video JOB DESCRIPTION: This person will be on the Kelley Connect engineering team working on scoping and designing solutions to sell as projects and then completing the implementation. They aren't doing any 'tickets' / maintenance. All of their projects are net-new networks or replacements. Day-to-day would include evaluating different networks, brainstorming design improvements, document workplan in an SOW and drawings, implement (a junior engineer with rack and stack / complete the physical networking), and then support the project throughout go-live and ideally move on to the next project. Won't be creating quotes or POs but will need to write up Statement of Work (SOW) documents with executive summaries, workplans, and their design drawings. The ideal candidate is someone who's been Engineering Networks for 5+ years having gotten deep into trouble shooting and repairs and is now beginning to build and design. Looking for someone who has opinions on how things should be structured. They're okay with this person coming from a non-MSP background as long as they feel confident this person could keep up with their quick pace and adjust to working with multiple environments (they have hundreds of clients). They need this person to move quickly and be able to switch gears quickly between tasks and companies / projects. The most important aspect to this hire is the personality / soft skills fit - they're willing to stretch a bit on the requirements for the right candidate. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Network design, configuration and installation of devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, ACL, VLAN) Perform systems implementation and administer infrastructure on premises and in the cloud; systems include Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 global administration Troubleshoot and resolve escalated tickets, including those associated with project design, scoping, and completion tasks Perform in-depth analysis of system performance and planning then summarize the results for varying audiences, outside technical partners, and senior-level management. Provide mentoring, guidance, and education to junior staff.
