From: pankaj, Stellent IT [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Cybersecurity Awareness Planner Location: Remote (NYC) Interview: Phone and 2 Video Duration: 6+ month Contract Job Description: Cybersecurity Awareness & Exercise Planner (Consultant) responsible for developing and executing comprehensive cyber exercises, training, and awareness to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture. Work under the direction of security leadership to develop and execute exercises that will replicate real-world cyber threats and incidents to test and improve incident response capabilities. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with all levels, from executive and business unit leadership to staff. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and coordinate cyber exercises, Create realistic cyberattack scenarios, considering current threat landscapes, to challenge the incident response team's capabilities. Conduct tabletop, functional, and full-scale cyber exercises to assess the organization's readiness to respond to cyber incidents. Maintain detailed exercise plans, reports, and documentation of findings and recommendations for improvement. Evaluate the performance of participants during exercises and identify areas for improvement in incident response procedures and protocols. Provide training to employees on cybersecurity best practices and lessons learned from exercise outcomes. Work with stakeholders to implement recommendations from exercise findings to enhance the organization's incident response capabilities. Keep abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure exercises remain relevant and effective. Possess the following experience: Cybersecurity Awareness and Training in global corporate environments Proven experience in cybersecurity, incident response with Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices. Previous experience in planning and executing cyber exercises or drills. Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical, cybersecurity, and/or risk-related topics into easy-to-understand content for a non-technical audience Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders Ability to think and execute proactively, staying abreast of new cybersecurity tools and capability Demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Maintains a solid working knowledge of Information Security principles and practices. Desired: Security certifications in incident response, cyber investigation, forensics, or threat hunting.
