Job Title: Cisco Voice/Network Engineer Location: Herndon, VA (Hybrid) (Hybrid) Duration: 6+ MONTHS Visa Type: USC/GC Job Description:- Responsibilities: Support all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points, UPS, and Cisco Voice environments. Assist and administer and maintain telephone equipment, protocols, and routing queues necessary to meet business needs. Perform network, server and security audits, review logs for errors and trends, and ensure proper function of network infrastructure. Recommend and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs as needed. Ensure network connectivity of all workstations are in good health. Support organizational initiatives and goals by participating on project teams and delivering on network related requirements. Assist with research on network hardware, software, and protocols in support of procurement and development efforts. Assist with Interaction with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. Provide documentation as needed, to support updates/changes within the Networking/Voice environment. Qualifications: 7 10 years experience as a Network Engineer Work experience of Cisco Security product line, ASA and Firepower etc. Experience with SolarWinds Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Voice technologies, troubleshooting, and overall daily support within a mid-size organization (financial industry preferred) Work experience with SD-WAN. Strong hands-on experience with OSPF Experience within Juniper networking technology (preferred) Strong motivational skills/self-starter mentality in addition to strong presentation and communication skills, and be able to work independently, and alongside a team environment. Education/Certification requirements: Four-year college degree, in the field of computer science preferred, or equivalent work experience.
