As a Java Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our Telecommunication and eCommerce platform application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Elastic Path technology. Collaborate closely with the frontend development team to ensure seamless integration between the frontend and backend components. Work with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Implement and integrate Elastic Path commerce functionalities, such as catalog management, pricing, promotions, and checkout processes, into the application. Optimize and enhance the performance of the backend systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Write clean, well-documented code and conduct thorough testing to ensure high-quality deliverables. Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize system downtime. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Elastic Path and Java technologies, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the application's performance and functionality. Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards. Collaborate with the frontend development team on user interface development, user experience design, and frontend frameworks and libraries. Facilitate data exchange between the frontend and backend systems by providing well-defined APIs and data endpoints. Work together with the frontend team to optimize overall application performance, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and experience working with Java frameworks. Solid understanding of Elastic Path technology and its implementation in eCommerce applications. Experience in developing scalable and high-performance backend systems. Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs. Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, or relational databases. Knowledge of Telecommunication and eCommerce domains is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment. Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
