Position: Embedded Software Test Engineer Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6+ Contract Visa : NO H1B Job Description Relocation is fine but local candidates are first and highly preferred Responsibilities: Develop and maintain driver software using Python and the PyVISA framework for instrument control and test automation. Create and execute test cases for new ATE (automated test equipment) to ensure the functionality, reliability, and accuracy of embedded systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain embedded systems test automation solutions. Utilize a range of software tools and languages, including LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, GO Lang, Pilz, MYSQL Work Bench, Tableau, Visual Studio Code, TwinCAT3, Jira, SVN, and GitHub. Work with various communication protocols, including I2C, SPI, RS232/422/485, TCP/IP, USB, GPIB, Modbus, and CAN. Requirements: Proven experience in driver development using Python and the PyVISA framework. Strong knowledge of embedded systems test automation architecture. Proficiency in LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, GO Lang, Pilz, MYSQL Work Bench, Tableau, Visual Studio Code, TwinCAT3, Jira, SVN, and GitHub. Familiarity with various communication protocols, including I2C, SPI, RS232/422/485, TCP/IP, USB, GPIB, Modbus, and CAN. Experience in configuration management using Jira, SVN, GitHub, and Jenkins. Hands-on experience with instruments and cards, such as cDAQ, Power supply, NI DAQ cards, Keysight, Current sensor, Voltage sensor, SEL meter, Inverters, and PowerStages. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. REQUIREMENTS SUMMARIZED: Must have experience developing drivers using Python with the PyVISA framework. Must be able to design and implement Embedded Systems Test Automation Architecture. Must be able to develop software for instrument control automation.
