Work can be conducted outside of normal business hours; however, we will need the individual to be able to attend pre-scheduled meetings during normal business hour The National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center (NSPARC) at Mississippi State University invites applications for an IOS Mobile Developer. The successful candidate provides assessment and programming support to the analytic staff in modeling, designing, developing, coding, maintaining, and testing of modern, data-intensive mobile applications. Required Skills/Experience Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will NOT be presented to the manager for consideration. Acquire knowledge of programming procedures and standards. Design, code, and test application software, as well as modify existing software to reflect changes in functional requirements. Code efficiently while adhering to established programming standards. Prepare and maintain quality documentation to manage program development and revisions. Prepare instructions and user documentation for users / operators. Modify programs to increase operating efficiency. Prepare test data and validate software for accuracy. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area. Preferred/Not Required Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area from an accredited institution and one year of experience dealing with designing, developing, testing and deploying production grade applications, familiarity with Android frameworks, familiarity with multiple package managers such as Cocoa Pods, Carthage and Swift Package Manager.
