PeopleSoft HR Technical Analyst/Developer

Location: New York Onsite

Duration: Long Term

The position will provide technical analytics and development support for HR systems, specifically PeopleSoft HR application. It will also be responsible for documenting technical specifications on a variety of application initiatives as well as design, development and implementation of application enhancements and technical/functional upgrade of the application. 

Major Responsibilities 

Analyze, design, develop and implement project initiatives for PS HR application using native tools of PS like Application Designer, Data Mover, BI Publishers Reporting Tool etc.

Retro-fit/develop custom modules in PS HR using latest design tools like Fluid UI.

Develop interfaces, reports and processes using Application Engine, Component Interface, BI Publisher and SQR.

Manage IT Service Desk queue as it pertains to HR Business Systems group

Responsible for monitoring of PS HR nightly batch processes, interfaces and reports

Partner with People Operations & Systems, Benefits, Payroll and other internal and external groups to maintain normal functionality of PS HR

Document business processes, functional and technical specifications in support of PS HR initiatives

Provide end to end support to business users during implementation of project initiatives like user acceptance testing, data migration, conceptual design, training and presentation etc.

Troubleshoot issues from both technical and functional aspects and provide complete root cause analysis along with solution

Work with different groups within NBA or outside like vendors, partners in a coordinated fashion to complete assigned tasks 

Required Skills/Knowledge 

Strong technical and functional skills of PS HR application and architecture

Proficient in native tools of PS like Application Designer (PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface), Data Mover, SQR, BI Publishers Reporting Tool etc.

Proficient in Fluid UI technology of PS HR 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.56 onwards

Strong working knowledge of SQL (Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase)

Functional knowledge of core PS HR application modules including Workforce Administration, Recruiting, Position Management, Benefits Administration, Payroll Interface, Self-Service Modules, Approval Workflow Engine etc.

Flexible and willingness to learn new functionality and acquire new technical skills as required by business needs

Must be self-motivated and strong attention to detail

Experience with multiple project development lifecycles and multiple clients

Ability to provide outstanding application support to business users and work both independently and as a member of a team

Aptitude for research, analysis and resolution of problems

Minimum of 7 years of significant hands-on experience developing complex customizations using PeopleTools 8.5x onwards

Ability to handle multiple projects with changing business priorities and communicate clearly, concisely both orally and in writing

At least two full project implementation lifecycles
