This role requires a combination of technical skills, data analysis expertise, and a good understanding of business processes. Technical Requirements: Data Analysis and Visualization: Proficiency in data analysis techniques to understand business requirements and translate them into effective visualizations Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices to create compelling and informative reports and dashboards Power BI Toolset: Expertise in using Power BI Desktop to create reports and dashboards Familiarity with Power BI Service for publishing and sharing reports Knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and modeling Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating custom calculations and measures Data Modeling: Ability to design and implement data models that support business requirements. Understanding of data relationships, hierarchies, and data modeling concepts. Data Integration: Proficiency in connecting Power BI to various data sources such as databases, spreadsheets, web services, and cloud-based platforms Experience with data preparation and transformation using Power Query SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills for data retrieval, manipulation, and querying from databases. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data extraction and transformation before loading into Power BI Data Governance and Security: Understanding of data governance principles to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulations Ability to implement role-based security in Power BI to control data access. Performance Optimization: Skills in optimizing report performance, including data refresh, query optimization, and report design Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell for automating tasks and managing Power BI resources Version Control: Knowledge of version control systems to manage Power BI report versions and changes Interpersonal Skills: Collaboration and Sharing: Proficiency in sharing reports and dashboards with stakeholders, setting up data alerts, and managing content on Power BI Service Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve issues with data sources, queries, and report performance Business Acumen: Understanding of the specific business domain, industry, and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the organization Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate with business users, data analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and present insights. Continuous Learning: A willingness to stay updated with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and trends in the field of business intelligence. Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
