Job Description -

The Enterprise System Architect is a role that has extensive experience, and acumen in enterprise applications, and is fully competent in infrastructure systems. This role is expected to resolve semi-routine issues involving complex production systems, and applications.  The role is also typically assigned to design, retrofit, or research new application solutions.  This person will be responsible for contributing to full deployment of enterprise systems that provide critical software to the enterprise.

Lead the implementation and documentation of solution architecture and standards for enterprise systems and application platforms, involving all aspects of data transport, integration, utilities, and tools used by information technology groups and the business. Communicate the benefits and advocate the use of enterprise-wide standards, and implementation of platforms, products and tools to senior management, business area staff and technical staff.  
Analyze, design, and implement new/improved operational capabilities across the enterprise umbrella.
Understands IT infrastructure as it relates to the business, and assist with development and implementation of new applications and services following industry best practices.
Expert in enterprise application principles utilizing fact-based decisions based on technical capabilities and limitations, working with vendor partners to leverage best of breed feature sets and integrations.
Provide support to enterprise engineering and operations management and analysts throughout the project cycle to ensure development of efficient and supportable systems utilizing established standards, procedures, and methodologies (i.e., design reviews, architect reviews).
Drive the execution of systems architecture using industry best practices. Specifically - Provide technical and architectural guidance to teams across all platforms and infrastructures, including promoting adherence to design standards and methodologies.
Reviews and ensures major solution designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible, and cost effective.
Investigates and forecasts market trends to define the technical information strategy direction and recommends innovations that anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy.              
Conduct solution architecture studies of new and existing infrastructure; develop tactical plans to address short-term deficiencies in current architecture.
Review project plans and technical documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with enterprise architecture.              
Mentor team members on new technology and system best practices.
Conduct peer review with other members of IT and Enterprise Architecture to ensure best practices and business standards are followed in all approved designs.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in a computer science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred.
Minimum experience of 7 or more years in systems management, engineering, or architecture role.
Prior experience with Nutanix AHV, Microsoft Windows Server, and Redhat Linux
Prior experience integrating enterprise applications and systems
Prior experience with modern architecture design tools such as Lucidchart
Prior experience evaluating project requests and proposals for viability, assist with requirements definition, and advise on potential impacts to existing applications.
Must have good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to obtain any necessary certifications and/or multi-jurisdictional regulatory licensing required for IT staff.
Passion to keep abreast of emerging architectural and technology trends.
