Position: Specialist - System Management Location: Remote Duration: Contract Top 5 Skills: Db2 luw (linux/unix/windows) admin DB2 luw performance tuning and monitoring Postgres SQL admin Postgres SQL performance tuning and monitoring Logical database design for relational databases This position contributes to the overall mission and goals by providing leadership and design capability in the area of database design and administration. Design, install, monitor, maintain, and performance tune production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability. Developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. Excellent communication/customer service skills, strong analytical skills, strong documentation/written communication skills, prioritize and multi-tasking and ability to work well in a collaborative teaming environment. What will this person be working on: Upgrading, supporting, managing DB2 and Postgres SQL mfg database systems Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' Minimum Experience: 5-8 years experience in DB2 and other DBA-Related Skills. DB2 LUW (AIX) Postgres SQL Project management (awareness) OS experience for AIX and Intel. Work Type: Remote *Position can be remote as long as the person lives within 1-2 hours from a Honda manufacturing plant. If there is a company emergency that requires all hands-on deck, we want this person to be able to support that. This is a short temp expectation.
