Position: Oracle Cloud Financials Consultant Location: Detroit, MI (Hybrid) Duration: 6-12+ month contract with rolling extensions. The AR, Cash, and Lease Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) consultant is an expert in financial operations, specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash management, and Lease Accounting processes. They provide invaluable guidance to organizations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842 and IFRS 16) while optimizing financial efficiency. Their role involves assessing and streamlining AR procedures, enhancing cash flow management strategies, and offering insights on lease accounting complexities. By leveraging their deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices, they empower businesses to accurately record financial transactions, enhance decision-making, and maintain a strong financial footing. Our client is actively seeking an adept AR, Cash, and Lease Accounting SME consultant proficient in Oracle Cloud. The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in navigating complex financial landscapes. This expert will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, enhancing financial efficiency, and providing valuable insights. Their Oracle Cloud experience will enable our client to effectively harness the platform's potential for robust financial management. Responsibilities: - Lead the enhancement of AR, cash management, and lease accounting processes in accordance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16 standards. - Provide expert consultation on complex financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline AR procedures, optimize cash flow management strategies, and manage lease agreements effectively. - Offer insights and recommendations for process improvements, risk mitigation, and financial decision-making. - Deliver expert knowledge in lease accounting intricacies, including lease classification, valuation, and financial reporting. - Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices to drive continuous process innovation. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (CPA, CFA, etc.) preferred. - Extensive experience (X+ years) in AR, cash management, and lease accounting, with a proven track record of successfully navigating complex financial scenarios. - Proficiency in Oracle Cloud, including hands-on experience in leveraging its capabilities for financial management and reporting. - In-depth knowledge of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 standards, ensuring accurate lease accounting and reporting. - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply accounting regulations effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and convey complex financial concepts clearly. - Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assess situations, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
