Please share suitable profile Sr Linux System Engineer 12 Months (Hybrid) Austin, TX Skype Need to be local to Austin, TX Sr Linux System Engineer for a 12-month contract for our client in Austin, TX. ********THIS POSITION IS HYBRID 2 DAYS PER WEEK ON SITE******** The workers skills and responsibilities include: Implement and administer Linux services security policies, patching, standards, and procedures in coordination with TxDOT Security and Information Security service component provider. Oversee and Interface with service provider support as needed, including opening tickets with TxDOT Vendors when support is needed. Ability to plan and administer automation opportunities. N-1/N Upgrade planning and implementation. Advise (or manage) any upgrade or configuration change of an existing operating system. Advise on technical strategies, new technologies, and trends. Work with and provide input on solutions from TxDOT and DCS Solution Architects Provide Windows and Linux support for TxDOT systems in datacenters and in the cloud.
