Job Description - Job Title: Java Development Lead/ Web Services Developer Location: Columbus, OH Hybrid, (Must be local candidate) Duration: 6 months Other tasks/deliverables may include any/all of the following: Potentially, provide Production Support for various eCommerce applications as needed. Potentially, various projects involving infrastructure upgrades (aka technical debt.) The particular scope of work for this consultant would involve changes to applications in response to the app requirements as they are flushed out in the tech debt discovery process. Migration of other eCommerce applications to upgrade platform (e.g. WAS 9, RAD 9, JAVA 1.8). Also, potentially, enhance eCommerce applications as needed, and/or migrate the backend to a platform other than Mainframe DB2. Work in this arena is related to projects known as WAS Upgrade, Mainframe Replacement, and other technical debt projects as they are initiated. Requirements: 10 years of experience with IDE: RAD 7.5 and above or Eclipse 10 years of Java: JEE 5 and above, Java EE Batch Architecture, Spring Framework, Java EE Design Patterns 10 years of Spring Framework: MVC model and Batch architecture 10 years of Messaging: Asynchronous Messaging, JMS/MQ 10 years of Web Framework: JSF 2.0 Framework 10 years of Persistence: JPA/Java Persistence API 2.0, EJB 3.0 10 years of Web Services: JAX-WS Web Services, XML, JAXB 10 years of Other: XPath, UML, Object Modeling, Batch Scheduler, Performance tuning of Web Services/SQL and Application code. 10 years of experience clarifying systems and programs intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine any system changes Extensive experience with Agile/Scrum based development approaches.
