From: Shubham, USC Group [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Research Systems Administrator Location: Lyons Hall - 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill MA, 02467 Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4-EAD, H1B, TN Must Haves: Familiarity with HPC environments (Bright CM a plus) Slurm experience RHEL experience (Certification a plus) Strong Sysadmin Skills (Troubleshooting, permissions mgmt, environment modules, etc...) Experience with Infiniband and parallel file systems (GPFS, Lustre, Weka, etc...) Hands-on experience with setting up and managing Linux and Windows physical and virtual servers Experience in an academic/research environment Ability to script (for example, to automate system administration tasks and processes, tie instruments to storage and computation) Responsibilities/Competencies: - Provides Linux server and some Windows server administration services - Sets up and maintains virtual machines and containerized research/teaching applications both on BCs HPC Linux cluster and on cloud services such as AWS and GCP - Sets up and maintains cloud instances on AWS and GCP, and servers for research and teaching - Employs scripting to automate system administration tasks and processes - Works with faculty and researchers to understand their current and future needs, and develops solutions to address them - Installs and manages specialized teaching and research software - Explores and promotes technologies that facilitate teaching and research - Develops and delivers training on topics related to research and teaching technologies, scripting and automation - Acts as a liaison between researchers and other functional areas within the department - Commitment to continuous learning and skill development Keywords: green card trade national Massachusetts Tennessee |
