Duration: 12+ month contract Role Overview The Readiness and Deployment (R&D) Project Manager is part of a team responsible for successfully deploying a new ERP and point-of-sale eco-system. This role encompasses the creation of readiness and deployment checklists and playbooks, validation of those checklists and playbooks across the Program team, and coordination of the execution of readiness and deployment activities themselves, leading up to and through a deployment weekend. It also may include coordination of activities during hyper care and coordination and communication during a stabilization period after deployment The R&D Project Manager reports to the R&D Workstream Lead, who reports to the Deputy Program Manager. Responsibilities: Construct comprehensive readiness and deployment checklists and playbooks in consultation with Project Managers and other members of the Program Team Participate in the execution of readiness activities across the company for deployments impacting the back office, the field (branches), and IT Participate in the execution of deployment activities over deployment weekends, coordinating teams from the Program (master data migration and validation, configuration updates, back office and field communication, smoke testing, roll-back, if necessary, etc.), the back office, and the field Communicate progress on readiness and deployment activities to the R&D Workstream Lead and broadly to the Program Team Help maintain project plans for readiness and deployment activities Track risks and issues in the Program RAID Log; escalate conflicts, risks, and impediments related to deployment; work with program, project, business, and IT leadership, as needed, to drive resolution Maintain a RACI for readiness and deployment activities Operate with transparency Facilitate readiness and deployment workshops and walk-throughs Key Phases of Responsibilities Preparation Help prepare for and lead deployments of the ecosystem to 650+ locations Help orchestrate preparation activities across the Program Team; help define various communications Capture and conduct walk-throughs of complex steps (in various Checklists and Paybooks) to ensure a successful deployment Deployment Weekends Contribute to the oversight of deployment activities Responsible for fielding questions, issues, and for helping recover any missteps Must be available during deployment on calls / chat channels Hypercare after deployment Contribute to the organization hyper care post-deployment Involved in monitoring chat rooms, email support, etc. Keywords: rlang information technology |
