JOB DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The DFPS Information Technology Division (IT Division) needs a Worker(s) to create an Excel, Access or other database to consolidate financial data into a report that can be loaded into Tableau or Power BI to create dynamic visualizations that help management understand and manage operations and project costs. The Worker(s) also needs to develop best practices to advance data quality and data analytics with uniformly governed data requirements. The worker will coordinate efforts with the finance team, Project Mangers, other users, and developers to identify and map requirements to capture and report data in a meaningful way for users and decision makers. The Worker(s) will assist with design requirements relating to the visibility, accessibility, and usability of the data. The Worker(s) will be involved with subject-matter experts within DFPS and technical teams in data gathering information and testing and documenting test cases. The Worker(s) will also participate in identifying and documenting business processes. The Worker(s) must have demonstrated advanced experience with Excel, PowerBI, Access, SQL, and Tableau and other reporting tools. The Worker(s) must also write test cases, test plans, test reports, and procedures detailing how to update and maintain any product produced while under contract. Three professional references are required. Two of the three references must be either Project Managers or Managers overseeing the Worker(s) on prior engagement(s). Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Advanced Excel skills and specific experience with using formulas such as the INDIRECT, SUMPRODUCT, SUMIFS; and advanced use of pivot tables 4 Required Translate business needs to technical specifications 4 Required Developing, building, and deploying databases and data analytics platforms 4 Required Transitioning financial and operational management data and reports from Excel to PowerBI 4 Required Writing queries; and integrating Power BI reports into other applications as needed 4 Required XML Transform experience, including document type definitions, Schema 4 Required Experience extracting and analyzing data from large, complex applications 4 Required Strong experience developing financial models that gather and consolidate data 2 Required Technical and business analyst experience, including development of data dictionaries and working with staff to create and implement procedures 2 Required Strong experience in data visualization, building reports, dashboards, and creating KPI scorecards using using next-generations BI solutions such as Power BI, Power Pivot (or similar), SQL and Tableau 1 Preferred Experience with Federal, State, or Local government data reporting; with strong understanding of state government. 1 Preferred BSc/BA in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Intelligence, Engineering, or relevant field Best Regards Md.
