Kindly go through the below job description and share me your consultants updated profile: Job Description Please Submit candidates along with Visa and DL Copy Need an independent candidate who can work on W2 we will get referral fee Title: AIX System Administrator (Remote) Duration: 1+ year Location: Remote Full Time MOI: Skype (Technical Interview) Days/Hours SaturdayTuesday 9:30 pm to 7:30 am Four Days per week - 10 hr days Required experience below: Work Days/Hours - Saturday to Tuesday, 4 days per week, 9:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. 5+ years AIX System Administrator Systems administration skills/experience (Administration, installation, upgrading, migration, configuration, and troubleshooting) Effectively interact and respond to questions from engineers, developers and business partners regardless of their technical level of knowledge Shell / Perl - Experience with reading/writing scripts with languages such as Shell and Perl Linux, Apache, WebLogic, Oracle, and EMC storage products Responsibilities: The AIX Systems Administrator position provides server administration as part of a UNIX Operations team for AIX and Linux servers. This person is responsible for implementing administrative tasks and maintenance work related to the AIX environment. This position partners with the engineering teams and business partners to implement appropriate IT solutions. This position troubleshoots issues on hardware and software systems and assists engineers in performing maintenance duties in the AIX/Linux environment. This position manages change requests and maintenance issues and assists teams with deployments. Supports and maintains the AIX environment Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes as assigned Works with a team of system engineers to support solutions to meet business goals Applies knowledge of AIX and other technical skills to provide support for multiple technology departments and business partners Upholds the standards, processes, and procedures for the department Establishes, fosters and maintains relationships within the department Escalates complex issues; resolves moderately complex issues; follows established escalation procedures Focuses on operational and maintenance activities Follows operational best practices and standard operating procedures for deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management Includes concise updates in tickets and change tasks Identifies areas for improvement to maintain and enhance the reliability, stability and integrity of the AIX environment Assists with the development of standards, processes and procedures for the department Role requires evening, night and weekend work; some days are needed for training Qualifications: Strong technical systems administration skills/experience with at least two years of AIX operating system experience, including administration, installation, upgrading, migration, configuration, and troubleshooting Effectively interact and respond to questions from engineers, developers and business partners regardless of their technical level of knowledge Attention to detail and the motivation to get things done right the first time Experience with reading scripts with languages such as Shell and Perl; experience with writing the same scripts is a plus Ability to apply problem-solving techniques to situations to provide fast and effective solutions Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work independently as well as part of a team Linux experience a plus Knowledge of Apache, WebLogic, Oracle, and EMC storage products is a plus Preferred Associates Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management.
