The CMDB Analyst will be part of the ITSM team and will report to the Director, IT Customer Services. This role works closely with: Configuration Item / Asset Class Owners, ITAM Manager, ITAM Managed Services team, ServiceNow System Administrator, IT Change Manager, and all process owners within IT. Job Functions & Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: Ensuring consistent and reliable operation of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Improving CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships. Work with CI Class Owners to ensure CMBD Accuracy and Completeness. Providing reporting on CIs to CI Class Owners including highlighting incomplete or out-of-date asset information discovered within asset records. Providing guidance to CMDB process participants as needed Publish CMDB Dashboards and CMDB KPIs reports. Assisting with the maintenance and development of CMDB processes and procedures. Supporting the integration of the CMDB with other IT Service Management processes. Supporting the Configuration Manager in the development of CMDB policy, processes, and knowledge base. Skills: ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in mid to large size companies. Very good understanding of ServiceNow and expert level knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ServiceNow CMDB. Knowledge of IT Configuration and Asset Management processes. Knowledge of discovery and service mapping. Familiar with the processes that consume CMDB data e.g. Incident, Problem, SDLC, Asset, and Change. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills on maintaining CMDB data integrity. Able to generate CMDB KPIs. Strong organizational skills reports. Excellent collaboration, customer service, and communication skills to work in a team environment. Able to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Education & Certifications: ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification. ServiceNow CMDB Fundamentals certification. Bachelors Degree in IT-related discipline or equivalent years of related work experience preferred.
