System Admin - Remote Client: County of Santa Clara - Probation Job ID: eRFO-ISD-FY24-0146 Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 1+ years Interview mode: Skype Job Description Provide Sr. System Administrator to plan and upgrade 7 HCL Domino Servers from version v9.0.1 to latest version 12.x. Train County staffs for Domino server administrative tasks and provide support after new servers go live. Provide a best practice server upgrade plan. Provide a project schedule for entire server upgrade process. Document upgrade strategies, tasks, and testing plans. Provide technical expertise and support needed to transition from old to new server versions. Coordinate server upgrade tasks and testing activities to complete upgrade tasks. Document server configurations after upgrade. Provide post implementation support. Lead, coordinate, and document upgrade environment, plan, strategy, and testing. Provide support and troubleshooting as needed. Implement, coordinate, and document a support plan for new version server after go live. Create technical diagrams and support documentation as needed for on-going administrative tasks. Provide knowledge transfer to permanent FTEs as needed for continued support of server administrative tasks. Complete additional tasks as assigned to fix existing server issues Provide training information for the review and future reference. Required Skills and Abilities: Ten plus years as a Domino server administrator. Ten plus years with Domino server upgrade and database migration experience. Experience configuring multiple Domino servers with clustering and replication environment. Experience supporting and training staffs for Domino server administrative tasks. Experience leading a team to upgrade and test Domino servers to latest versions. Experience documenting server upgrade plan and strategies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Q 1. Answer- 10+ years. Q 5. How many rounds of interviews will be conducted Answer- 2 rounds . Q 6. How many interviewers will be in the interviews Answer- Around 5 team members. Q 7. Can you please share the titles of the interviewers and how many interviewers will be in the interviews Answer- IT Managers, System Administrator, Sr Developer, and Network Engineer Q 8. Will the candidates be asked to perform a task or demonstrate a use case during the interviews Answer- Possibly Q 9. What is the timeline to onboard this role Answer- As soon as the consultant become available. Q 10. Since there are almost no local candidates available, Can we submit Non-local candidates who are willing to relocate Answer- The consultant doesn't need to be fulltime onsite during project duration. We might need the consultant to be onsite for a few weeks across the project period. Probation will pay the travel expense. Relocation is not necessary. Q 11. Will the County accept experience with prior experience with IBM Domino and Lotus Notes Answer- Yes. Q 12. What kind of database is being used in relation to the Domino Servers Answer- MS SQL Server. Are 100% remote candidates acceptable due to the limited availability of local candidates Answer- Probation prefers consultant can be onsite a few weeks such as before and after server cut over. Q 14. Upgrade and test Domino servers to latest versions. Can you consider if someone has not worked on latest versions but worked on old versions Answer- Probation prefer the consultant has experience with latest version. One version older is acceptable such as v11. Q 15.
