Be available to address issues as needed Support multiple SQL Server instances on Linux, Windows and in Amazon RDS Design and implement high quality data structures to meet the needs of the business. Ensure new structures are accessible, secure, and easy to understand Architect new data structures to consolidate the data from multiple organizations and multiple relational database management systems including SQL Server and MySQL Define database security and enable data distribution to the right users Understand existing data and data structures. Document data model Transform raw data into real business intelligence Monitor database performance and design and implement performance improvements Apply new patches and versions as required with minimal downtime Empower the business to generate their own SQL reports and ad hoc queries. Provide necessary training Transition existing SQL reporting and ad hoc data maintenance tasks to internal business stakeholders Support software developers and others throughout the company in the use of the data. Ensure efficiency of queries and reports.
