Role: Mainframe or COBOL Architect Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Client: NY State Client Job ID#: HBITS-05-13022 Description Provide annual changes to the Personal Income Tax Audit System. Assist the State Wide Contract Offset program development. Duties Maintenance of existing systems as well as new development work. Participate in requirements gathering phase. Analysis, design, coding and unit/integration testing. Create and update program specification and detail design documentation. Research and fix production issues. Application performance tuning. Mentor staff on programming standards. Troubleshoot complex production issues. Guide training classes. Mandatory Requirements Experience (8+ Years) Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
