Role: ServiceNow CMDB Developer Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite from Day 1 ) Duration: Long Term Contract Job Description: As a ServiceNow CMDB Developer, you will be responsible for customizing and extending the ServiceNow platform to meet our clients' configuration management needs. You will work closely with CMDB Architects, ITSM teams, and clients to design, develop, test, and implement CMDB solutions. This role requires expertise in ServiceNow development and a deep understanding of configuration management processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. CMDB Configuration: Customize and configure the ServiceNow CMDB module to meet clients' specific requirements, including CI classes, attributes, and relationships. Scripting and Development: Develop and maintain custom scripts, business rules, UI policies, and workflows to enhance CMDB functionality. Data Integration: Implement data integration solutions to synchronize CMDB data with other ITSM modules and external systems. CI Discovery: Configure and manage automated CI discovery processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date CMDB information. CMDB Health Monitoring: Monitor CMDB health and data quality, identifying and resolving issues promptly. Change Management: Collaborate with change management teams to ensure that CMDB changes are properly documented and approved. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for CMDB configurations and customizations. Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform unit testing and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and performance of CMDB solutions. Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their CMDB requirements and provide technical expertise and recommendations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred). ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification is strongly preferred. Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with at least 8 years of experience. In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), business rules, and workflows. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB configuration and customization. Strong understanding of ITIL best practices and configuration management principles. Proficiency in data integration and CMDB synchronization methods. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
