| GIS Developer consultant Rensselaer NY (Remote) Mostly remote only to be onsite if requested by client Required Skills 6-7 years of experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform including ArcGIS Desktop, Server, & Enterprise Portal. Experience in developing web-based mapping applications utilizing ArcGIS Web Application Builder. Experience in GIS web technologies such as, JavaScript (including ESRI JavaScript 3.X/4.X API), XML, JSON, GEOJSON, Python (including 2x/3x, and ArcPy), HTML, CSS, jQuery, Web services, SOAP/REST, Angular. Experience with ArcSDE Geodatabases (eg: Enterprise and File Geodatabases). Experience with RDBMS systems such as Oracle, SQL Server. Experience with linear referencing systems including Esris Roads and Highways, and Pipeline Linear Referencing methodologies. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and quickly develop trust in all levels of an organization. Ability to communicate and work collaboratively and effectively with project team members and customers. Recommended Qualifications Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices. Demonstrated experience implementing transportation asset management systems and/or work order management systems (e.g. Infor EAM, Maximo). Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geoenabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture Demonstrated knowledge of business and models and processes of government transportation organizations Familiarity with DevOps Lifecycle tools, including GitLab Background in rail, public transit, highways, operations, airports/aviation, and ports/maritime Agile methodologies, working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
