Please review our job opening below and kindly send us the updated resume ASAP along with the details of consultants; Please add [email protected] in your distribution list Role: Project Engineer Manager (2 positions) Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite from Day 1) Roles & Responsibilities : The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) essentially bears responsibility for achieving the technical and business management project objectives delegated to him/her by the Project Manager. He/she directs a team of engineering project managers for the solution development, offer preparation and project implementation. He/she is responsible with regard to team performance in terms of content, cost, time/planning and quality of international projects. The PEM provides overall technical direction for the Project and is responsible for ensuring that all engineering is in conformance with contract requirements, project specific requirements (e.g., EHS, quality and constructability). The PEM coordinates all engineering activities and is responsible to address and resolve technical interface issues including OEM equipment The PEM provides overall technical direction for the Project and is responsible for ensuring that all engineering is in conformance with contract requirements, project specific requirements (e.g., EHS, quality and constructability). The PEM coordinates all engineering activities and is responsible to address and resolve technical interface issues including OEM equipment. The PEM provides technical support in addressing commercial issues and reviews and checks contract change orders. The PEM identifies critical technical issues requiring immediate action and ensures that corrective action is taken. The PEM is responsible for on time and in quality engineering within the given engineering budget. The PEM ensures compliance with the overall integrated project schedule for all technical aspects of the project including early warning indicators. The PEM is responsible for timely escalation of potential issues and resource requests to the GPM and, if needed to his/her line management. Required Skills (Technical Competency) : Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in engineering of complex projects. Ability to positively lead project teams to provide the best solutions regarding budget, quality and time in complex projects. Capability to lead cross-functional and cross-product line initiatives, domestically and internationally After assignments in engineering project teams and lead engineer positions an experienced level should be reached to coordinate all engineering disciplines Intercultural sensitivity, in order to work in (virtual) international team Strategic orientation with an overall knowledge of the specific project type, as well as the requirements for operation and services of these project types Customer and consortium partner focus, capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to the dynamic environment Capability of multitasking, with excellent organizational skills while assuring a high quality work process Willingness for business travels with international contacts Excellent verbal and written English skills College degree, preferable within the field of electrical, mechanical, structural, automation or process engineering or equivalent combination of education Desired Skills : Experience in Power or Oil &Gas Industry Physical Requirements & Work Environment : Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement. Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work. Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
