Our Dubuque, Iowa client has a remote contract opportunity for a 

Marketing Operations Analyst 

who develop standardized data extraction, transformation, and load processes for client's Higher Education, to support analytics and marketing segmentation.

Extract transform Load, Segmentation, and Build Analytic Dashboards Creating the processes necessary for this position.

Processes behind how date is manipulated. Independence to setup the right Processes using Best Practice to adapt across all work for Analyze & Segmentation.

Top must:

Expertise with Sequel and Databases

Strong data manipulation skills

Knowledge and proven experience with advanced analytics  

Experience with Domo and Marketo

Daily Experience using Sequel or manipulating data in general, then providing analytics to other teams

Communicate Effectively in terms of what they are doing

Basic Screening question asked to get a sense of their skill level

Some sort of very high-level evaluation of candidates Sequel knowledge.

Job Description:

Optimize and maintain our ETL processes and provide documentation on purpose and usage.

Develop best practices for data governance.

Solve problems with internal and external clients on data issues.

SEGMENTATION:

Develop a standardized and comprehensive segmentation library of MHE customers, for use in marketing automation campaigns and marketing analytics.

Work directly with the Marketing Automation team to ready segments for use in Marketo.

Segment customers based on internal and external attributes to clearly identify opportunities for growth, drive targeting strategies and measure overall portfolio performance.

ANALYTICS DASHBOARDS:

Collaborate with product teams to design, measure, and prioritize marketing investments to drive profitable growth through linkage analyses of various marketing programs utilizing both operational and financial data.

Implement analyses including (but not limited to) regression, segmentation, discrete choice/conjoint, data mining and other statistical and modeling techniques.

Analyze and interpret web analytics data to identify opportunities and trends, and provide actionable recommendations to support site optimization and customer experience improvements.

Analyze new data sources for availability and quality and integrate with internal sources to support research or analytics.

Support design of analytical framework to integrate ROI insights from segmentation, marketing mix, purchase funnel, and user experience analyses.

Enhance and develop reporting capabilities to provide clear line of sight into key performance trends and metrics for all levels of management.

Produce visuals (charts, infographics) and presentations to communicate findings clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders.

Requisite Qualifications, Characteristics and Experience:

Master's degree in applied quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Economics) preferred. Extremely strong candidates with equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the roles responsibilities will be considered.

Minimum four (4) years of experience working in a marketing science and/or advanced analytics role handling large, complex data.

Applied knowledge of advanced statistical techniques used in quantitative analysis; ability to select the appropriate tools and solutions to answer a clients central business issue.

Knowledge and proven experience with advanced analytics and solutions such as structural equation modeling, time-series, advanced regressions, marketing mix modeling, factor analyses, cluster analysis, CHAID, discrete choice modeling, conjoint, and price sensitivity (e.g. Van Westendorp).

Ability to synthesize information across multiple sources and tell interesting and compelling stories.

Strong data manipulation skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize and present information in a way that provides clarity and interest.

Enthusiasm to work as a part of a cohesive research team. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with external suppliers and internal colleagues across the organization.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment in which multitasking and attention to detail is expected.

Excellent problem-solving skills; strong ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint and Excel, are required.

Intermediate SPSS and/or SAS software skills are required.

Expertise with any of the following: SQL, BI, Sawtooth, cross tabulation software, web analytics tools (particularly Google Analytics), data mining, data warehousing, text analytics, social media monitoring, Marketo, or Salesforce.com.
