| Title: IBM Mainframe COBOL Programmers Location: Remote Duration 6-12 months Visa: No H1b MOI: Skype NEED candidate who has IBM experience We are seeking a skilled IBM Mainframe COBOL Programmer for a contract position. This is a large conversion to a new system. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing, testing COBOL applications on IBM mainframe systems. Responsibilities: - Develop and test COBOL applications on IBM mainframe systems in both VSE and MVS - Analyze user requirements and design solutions - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for COBOL applications - Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure project success - Adhere to coding standards and best practices Requirements: - Strong experience in IBM mainframe COBOL programming with BAL experience a big plus- Familiarity with JCL, VSAM, CICS - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong communication skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) -- Keywords: information technology |
