Architect and implement embedded software for motorized shadesystems. Assist cross-functional units in product advancement teams by troubleshootingissues,communicating solutions and helping deploy fixes. QUALIFICATIONSAND KSAS FOR EMPLOYMENT An employee in this position, upon appointment, shouldhave the equivalent of the following: Expert knowledge of C/C programming skills for embedded systems. Solid knowledge of ARM architectureand SoCs Solid knowledge of wireless IoTprotocols (BLE, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Thread or similar). Solid knowledge of analog anddigital circuits. Solid knowledge of distributedversion control software (eg. Git, Mercurial). Solid knowledge of embedded Linuxand scripting (eg. Python, Perl, Bash). Solid knowledge of bootloaders,communication protocols (eg. UART, I2C, SPI, USB) and state machine design. Solid knowledge of TCP/IPprotocols, network set-up, administration, security Basic knowledge of continuousintegration workflows and tooling (eg. Docker, Podman). Basic knowledge of real-timeoperating systems, ARM Cortex-M processors and motor control theory. Basic knowledge of cloud platformssuch as AWS, GCP and/or Azure. Familiarity with Apple HomeKit Skill in operation of electronictest equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and digitallogicanalyzers. Skill in assembling or modifyingelectronic prototypes, including soldering, wire management,and use ofpower tools. Ability to specify / supervisework performance of contract employees and suppliers. Acceptable training and experienceincludes a bachelors degree in Computer Engineering,Computer Science,Electrical Engineering or similar and 7 years or professionalexperience.
