Job Title: Devnet/Network Automation Engineer Location: Remote role with occasional travel to San Antonio, TX - Expenses paid by client Duration: 12 Months Contract This role is 95% Remote and 5% Travel to the San Antonio, TX. (Expenses paid by client) Job Description: As a DevNet Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in automating and optimizing our network and infrastructure operations. Your expertise in Cisco networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 load balancers, coupled with your development skills, will drive our automation initiatives and enhance our system reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and optimize automated solutions for network and infrastructure management. Leverage Python and utilize APIs to integrate and enhance network functionalities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements and deliver automation solutions. Ensure network security, reliability, and performance through automated processes. Document code, develop user guides, and provide technical support and training. Qualifications Solid Network Technologies Foundation: Deep understanding of network protocols, architecture, and standards. Certification: CCNP or equivalent certification is desired. Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of Cisco networking, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 load balancers. Development Skills: Proficient in Python and familiar with data formats (XML, JSON, YAML). Version Control: Proficiency with git. API Utilization: Experience in using and understanding APIs. Tools & Technologies: Experience with Splunk, 1000 Eyes, Ansible Tower, and Django framework is required.
