JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB TITLE: Java Technical Lead/with hands-on development LOCATION: Parsippany,New Jersey- HYBRID(NEED LOCAL CANDIDATE ONLY) WORK VISA: USC ONLY Client- UPS Immediate onsite in 07054 (2 times per week) (Locals only) Interview Mode: Video Interview *****Must be willing to release the candidate to go perm with the client after 6 months on contract with no fee***** Job Description: The Java Tech Lead is responsible for directing the development team in designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging applications in an Agile Scrum development environment. Additionally, you will be expected to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement, act as a technical mentor and adviser, and ensure effective communication between team members, Product Owners, and other IT functional areas. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills both written and verbal. Needs to have experience estimating work and communicating the detail in support of that estimate. Good interpersonal skills and must work well within a team environment. Must be a highly motivated individual that strives to stay current in technology, adhere to standards, and focus on strategic direction for the organization. Minimum Qualifications: 10-11 years of Java development and 4+ years of Lead experience Technical skills needed are Java/J2ee, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, servlets struts, SOAP XML and REST API, API testing, performance testing, multithreading, JSP, Jquery and Javascript. Must have leadership skills and be a team player since it is a small team. The Hands-on Java Lead will help other developers on the team with coding issues and mentoring. Will need prior experience managing a team of onshore and offshore developers. Responsible for leading different meetings, understanding requirements, a lot of design work, providing work estimates, code reviews and developing a secure application. Must have experience with Production Support experience. Will be the 2nd level support in case the call needs escalation or if the call isnt answered by primary support.
