AWS 2. Cloud Migration Experience 3. Kubernetes About The Role In this role, you will help in seamlessly migrate information and service into the Cloud utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be responsible for supporting the company's cloud adoption, suggesting operational/security improvements, and promoting additional AWS services that will benefit the company. The Cloud Computing Specialist ensures client satisfaction and uncovers additional areas of AWS consumption/services opportunities. Responsibilities Lead and perform readiness assessment and planning. Understand and mitigate risks faced by technical, operational, and business stakeholders. This includes understanding how to minimize disruptions to business functions including customer support and operations. Serve as the technical point of contact during the entire migration. Orchestrate Kubernetes clusters and all its internal components and applications running on them. Design and implement highly scalable and reliable infrastructure services that integrate deeply with business services (authentication, routing, logging, etc.) Work closely with microservice developers, security and platform engineers to spread knowledge and best practices of self-service infrastructure Evaluate existing processes & tools and implement changes for better efficiency. Automate and document tools to make end-to-end microservices pipelines a self-service Assist development teams in tool training and troubleshooting Participate in on-call rotations as needed. Requirements Minimum 10 years of experience as software or infrastructure engineer operating scalable and reliable cloud platforms. Experience in migrating microservices and platforms to AWS cloud. Utilizes technical expertise and leadership skills to resolve issues, ensure product goals are met, and serve as a mentor to coach and support junior engineers to continue to raise the engineering bar across the organization. Linux administration experience Deep understanding of Kubernetes microservices architectures and internal components Understanding of Kubernetes network architecture how traffic moves within pods, between clusters, load balancers, and the internet Experience with Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana Experience planning, designing and building out clusters on bare mental using CoreOS, deployments of pods, and administration.
