Role: Lead Informatica Consultant Location: Menands, New York Duration: 30 Months Client: NY State Description The Division of Nutrition relies heavily on custom software applications in order to effectively and efficiently support many nutritional programs, including the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The NYWIC MIS-EBT Project is focused on transferring and implementing a .NET/Oracle software application from another state to place the legacy PowerBuilder/Sybase WIC Statewide Information System (WICSIS) that currently supports the WIC program. As part of the project, NYS will be implementing an OBIEE data mart for reporting. Duties Work in conjunction with the project data migration lead to conduct data analysis of both current and to-be WIC systems, in order to maintain an understanding of current and future needs. Collaborate with customers, vendors, and technical workgroups to identify and document data and reporting requirements, reporting processes, gap analysis, and prioritization of reporting needs. Create documents describing business flow and function using flow charts and data/process models describing these business functions. Develop ETL mappings for migration of data from SYBASE, MS Access to Oracle. Create report and dashboard prototypes. Participate in development of solutions to meet end user reporting requirements. Develop data test protocols, including test plans, creation and execution of test scripts, scenarios, and test plans that validate initial business requirements. Test report accuracy and document test results. Evaluate implementation strategies and document issues requiring resolution. Schedule, facilitate, and record report development meetings as needed. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 Months Experience using Informatica 10.x or higher in a data warehouse environment including warehousing concepts, design and development of complex mappings, and merging data from multiple source systems including but not limited to Oracle and flat files. 48 Months Experience with Informatica Data Quality processes, approaches, measurement techniques and business cases for data profiling, data cleaning, standardization, match and merge with IDQ 8.x or higher. 72 Months Work experience implementing Fine Grain Access Control Audit (FGACA) and Virtual Private Database (VPD) to protect Health Care data such as Medicaid, Pharmacy, and HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI). 72 Months Experience leading the ETL team in shaping and enhancing the overall ETL architecture using Informatica. 72 Months Experience writing complex UNIX scripts to validate and FTP files, and for calling Informatica workflows. 72 Months Experience converting complex SQL, PL/SQL (stored procedures/functions), as well as SAS code with Oracle 10g or higher, to Informatica mappings. 72 Months Experience in Dimensional Data Modeling for creating logical and physical data models using Erwin. 72 Months Experience specifying and conducting system testing (e.g. unit, integration, regression, load, performance) and user acceptance testing.
