Job Description: The Senior Cloud Engineer will own the technical engagements with our internal stakeholders covering architectural design, implementing and enabling cloud services and capabilities, and managing cloud services. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in implementing cloud solutions with experience in leading advanced technical architecture discussions with senior executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers. General Responsibilities: Responsible for analysis, evaluation, and development of enterprise long term cloud strategic and operating plans to ensure that the cloud objectives are consistent with the enterprise's long-term business objectives. Actively provides expert knowledge of Azure cloud technologies. Be the go-to person in this area of expertise. Develops in-depth knowledge of company's existing infrastructure and cloud architecture and technology portfolio. Effectively participates in architecture and design discussions across different teams. Be able to share and defend architectural decisions with senior leadership. Develops architectural designs and independently develops complex system designs that meet the requirements. Clearly communicates and conveys architecture and design concepts, both verbally and written. Collaboratively works with a team of other system architects on artifacts and system solution backlogs to build and execute architectural strategy. Produces and documents detailed architecture of cloud-based capabilities. Actively functions in an Agile-based environment. Considers tradeoffs between requirements, speed, cost, and reliability in the choice of a architecture and design approach. Ensures designing well architected (secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized) solutions. Consults on or drives adoption across multiple teams and business units. Stay current on technology trends and opportunities, compliance/risk issues by self-study and other training programs. Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, and appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment. Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption to enable them to be cloud advocates. Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects in building/migrating complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsible for collaboration with Information Security to ensure proper security policies and standards are followed. Required Qualifications: Building, deploying, and maintaining Infrastructure as a code (IaC) using tools like Bicep and Azure Resource Manager and CI/CD pipeline for IaC Oversees and participates in cloud program implementation. A proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining secure, complex cloud-based data-intensive systems. Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premises workloads to the cloud) Cloud certification(s) relevant to cloud architecture, cloud engineering Subject matter expertise in the following: Deep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR), Security, Storage, Networking, containers and Infrastructure as a code technologies) Continuous integration technologies (e.g. Azure for DevOps) One or more of the following programming languages: PowerShell, Bicep, Python, Azure CLI, Visual Studio Code Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment information technology golang |
