Responsible for ensuring the implementation is adhering to Security Best Practices. Deliver subject matter expertise of M365 with emphasis in security, migration, management and support of implementations. This is a technical advisory role, so less hands on and more driving the M365 security initiative. Having prior hands-on experience is necessary for this role. Initial 4-6 month engagement with the opportunity for longer term involved in Cloud security based projects. Responsible for: This role involves many meetings, communications, daily standups, documentation, reporting, dashboards and status updates, than hands on. Implement security standards for M365 security environment including; IAM, DLP, Email Filtering, etc Provide overall M365 security expertise including strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Defender, Azure Purview (AIP), SSO and multi-factor authentication and related technologies (including Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security) Demonstrate consultative capabilities by providing value added information to clients for connecting technology, security and the business value of M365. Drive M365 security adoption and lead technical effort to enable M365 / Azure Security suite of capabilities Lead and participate in ongoing M365 security and strategy discussions, Stay current of all things M365, including changes & updates, roadmap & releases, and third-party solutions. Work with client stakeholders by communicating compliance management for adopted M365 products and implement best practices for M365 Security Demonstrate understanding of Zero Trust principles and how they apply to the M365 platform Align business requirements with M365 applications, services, and features Conduct security assessments of Azure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft services by leveraging cloud security standards established by CIS, NIST, and other cloud controls framework. Accurately and consistently document findings and recommendations Requirements: Deep technical understanding of both M365 and cybersecurity standards Understanding of building and deploying secure Azure solutions Knowledge of system monitoring in a cloud environment including cloud-specific products and tools Expertise implementing, administering and supporting Enterprise Office/M365 SaaS environments focused on M365 security suite capabilities Strong understanding and passion for IT Security and frameworks such as NIST, CIS, etc Understanding of IAM, DLP, email filtering, etc in regards to M365 security Experience with AzureAD, security controls, policies and Security Best practices Demonstrate strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills (written and verbal).
