Title: Big Data(Need Platform support not a Developer) Location: Austin, TX Duration: Long Term Job Description: The Platform Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's financial platform and supporting the needs of clients and internal stakeholders. As a Platform Support Specialist, you will be responsible for addressing and resolving technical issues, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the platform. What You'll Do Currency Patching of BDE servers for vulnerabilities through automated RedButton process L1/L2 support monitoring and troubleshooting batch related issues and debugging/resolving issues related to MapR Reduce and Spark workloads L3 support to troubleshoot complex issues with MapR/Hadoop ecosystems such as Hive/Spark Platform Storage & Resource Optimization Admin support for Hive deployments Execute annual Disaster Recovery & Password Rotation exercises Assist with Audit Requests Platform Health Reporting, Weekly and Monthly Executive Status Reporting Implement Continuous Improvement & Automation opportunities Platform Upgrade Support BDE Migration Support To manage and support the platforms on rotational shift basis from the Customer Secured Delivery Center set up. (Major support requirement in the US business time) To learn new platform management technologies and tools as a part of the cross-skilling exercise in Project life cycle. Customer / Stakeholder management Expertise You'll Bring Skills - Platform: HPE/MapR Hadoop (Big Data), Programming: Python, UNIX Scripting, CICD: Ansible, Platform Support, ITSM tools knowledge, ITIL 8+ Years of IT experience in Big Data, Hadoop platform management & min 2 years experience in Big Data platform administration / management. Good knowledge with ITIL framework & ITSM tools. Major Incident management & excellent customer interfacing skills. Good email communication & client management skills. Innovative Thinking & proven automation experience. Organization Commitment (hard working) Customer Focus/Orientation. Adapting to the project requirements in terms of technical skills and work timing.
